Standards in the managing process of Makpetrol AD


Makpetrol AD, as the largest company for trading with gas and oil products in the Republic of Macedonia, besides establishing its management system by compliance with the society regulations and relevant legislative regulation, also establishes the system on the basis of introducing standards.

  • In 2004, Makpetrol AD obtained Certificate for the Quality System, in consistency with the International Standard ISO 9001 requirements;
  • In 2007, the Company obtained Certificate for Environmental Protection System in consistency with the International Standard ISO 14001 requirements;
  • In 2009, the Hotels in Struga and Mavrovo obtained Certificates for meeting the HACCP requirements, in consistency with the International Standard ISO 22000- Food Safety.

  • All ISO Certificates are issued by the Certification body Quality- Austria and are accredited by IQNet-The International Certification Network.
    In 2010, the management team of the Company has adopted the new approach for development of the systems as integrated system.
    The Integrated system for management with quality and environment is documented system of the process model with functional value within the frames of Makpetrol AD policy. The Quality and Environmental Policy, the Manual for quality, vision, mission, the plans for the aspects, the procedures an other are very important documents of the system.
    The management within the Company is generally based on the principle of the Quality Management and its continuous improvement, and the everyday work is based on the principle of sustainable development- economic sustainability, taking care of the employees and the environment.
    ISO Certification Revisions are made in three years period, but the conformity of the Quality and Environment Systems and Food Safety System have been checked on an annual basis.

    History of Makpetrol


    Makpetrol AD, founded in 1947 as a trading company trading in oil and oil products, under the name Jugopetrol Skopje, with 85 employees and several petrol stations. In 1974 the company expands its activities for road transport and shipping, organized as a working unit (R.O.). Four years later (1980) the Company has changed its name to RO MAKPETROL Skopje. In 1989 registered as a social enterprise (O.P.) for internal and external trade, and next, in 1990 transformed into joint stock company with mixed ownership. Five years later (1995) transformed into joint stock company (JSC), which completes the transformation of MAKPETROL AD from mixed ownership into trade company in private ownership. Thus completing a process that forms the basis for further successful growth, development and growth in new directions and new fields.
    The joint stock company is in full private ownership (1998), and its shares are listed on the MSE.

    MAKPETROL


    MAKPETROL AD is the largest private company for distribution and sale of oil products in Macedonia. As a leader at the Macedonian market for 65 years it developed a network of 121 ultra-modern petrol stations of oil products with sufficient capacity.
    Its core business is retail and wholesale of oil, oil products, natural gas and biodiesel.
    For Makpetrol AD the construction of a plant with capacity of 20.000 tons biodiesel annually means steady step in following the modern trends of biofuels and renewable sources of energy. 1780 employees with different educational qualifications participate in the process of supplying the market. High quality comes from its own laboratory for quality control of fuels, modern fleet tank-cars and necessary logistics. International cooperation is achieved through branches in Greece and Serbia.
    Makpetrol AD managing process is organized under two-level system. The Company has got Supervisory Board, consisting of four members and Board of Directors consisting of eight members.
    Makpetrol Group has its own affiliates, four of which are located in Macedonia, that is: Makpetrol Prom-Gas, Television Telma, GA-MA and Oilco, while on an international level the Company owns affiliated companies in Republic of Greece, Petrolmak and in Republic of Serbia, Makpetrol-Beograd.
